Beth Colley engages audiences with her high-energy, humor, and down-to earth mannerism. She kick-started her way into the careers industry in January of 2000 when she changed careers from church ministry and began working as a Resource Specialist in a nonprofit One-Stop Career Center in Maryland. In 2001, she was promoted to a Career Consultant and coached job seekers through various stages of career transition. In August of 2004, she launched Chesapeake Resume Writing Service, and pursued advanced credentials in the industry. In 2014, she rebranded the business as Chesapeake Career Management Services.
She has given presentations and facilitated short seminars and full-day workshops for small businesses, federal agencies, churches, and nonprofit organizations throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia including:
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, The FBI Training Academy in Quantico, The Social Security Administration, The United States Naval Academy Alumni Association staff, The Japan Exchange Teaching Program (JET), the University of Maryland Medical Center Anesthesiology Residents, The Baltimore-Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce, Entrepreneurs Exchange of Anne Arundel County, the American Business Women’s Association–Maryland Capital Chapter (ABWA), The Women’s Empowerment Conference in 2011, and the Society of Human Resource Management-Anne Arundel County (ASHRM) chapter. She also presented a seminar to her colleagues at the 2012 National Resume Writer’s Convention in Charleston, SC.
